The audience was convinced that Michael Rütimann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serenus Nussbaum was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After having played for 33 minutes, Jack Högger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oliver Stol came out of the goal and Mika Klein tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Jack Högger got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tran Verplanken during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, K12 Academy's Tran Verplanken got a free kick in the 55th minute. K12 Academy's Oliver Stol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save K12 Academy from getting a goal against them.
