Spectators: 7543 (Terracing: 5773, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 0) Gampel's Bastian Imbach started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Aigle Rouge Club's zone, Bert Kappel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Meyer came out of the goal and Bert Kappel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jesko Baldini charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jesko Baldini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Gampel got a freekick which was hit by Jesko Baldini. In the 12th minute Jarno Emhardt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matteo Gloeckner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute Bastian Imbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Aigle Rouge Club's Leonhard Helmholz got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 15 minutes, Sepp Papa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aigle Rouge Club and the Gampel players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Aigle Rouge Club's Sepp Papa got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 22 played minutes Gampel got a freekick which was hit by Herman Wiprächtiger. When Herman Wiprächtiger fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gampel's protests and gave Herman Wiprächtiger a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Aigle Rouge Club booed when Gampel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Wiprächtiger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 played minutes, Aigle Rouge Club's Jacques Sidler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Matteo Gloeckner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aigle Rouge Club reached it. Bastian Imbach struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Jonathan Meyer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gampel. Jonathan Meyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bastian Imbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Aigle Rouge Club's Jonathan Meyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Aigle Rouge Club from getting a goal against them. Jarno Emhardt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matteo Gloeckner having to interfere. In the 37th minute of the match Randy Wasser shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Meyer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarno Emhardt in the 39th minute of play forced Gampel's goalkeeper Matteo Gloeckner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bert Kappel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Jonathan Meyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Meyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastian Imbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bert Kappel came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Gampel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bert Kappel couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the match, Leonhard Helmholz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matteo Gloeckner. Gampel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonhard Helmholz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Bastian Imbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bastian Imbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jonathan Meyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Gampel getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Maximilian Roy hit a great ball. Aigle Rouge Club's Jacques Sidler couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 71st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gampel. Aigle Rouge Club's Jarno Emhardt got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nat Mehrtens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarno Emhardt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matteo Gloeckner having to interfere. The Aigle Rouge Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aigle Rouge Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
