In the 17th minute Detlev Zufferey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Berardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luther Rossignol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Placide Zanier struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Marcel Schenker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Böttstein FC. Patrice Caniglia hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Böttstein FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rahman Rüşti came free, but Lars Berardi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Delémont EC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Rahman Rüşti made the kick off in the second half. Lars Berardi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luther Rossignol in the 52nd minute. With an all-out effort, Delémont EC's Lars Berardi threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rahman Rüşti, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 61st minute Luther Rossignol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Berardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Böttstein FC's Lars Berardi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rahman Rüşti in the 62nd minute of play. Radowit Dula kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Delémont EC's Fridolin Gerner couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Böttstein FC. Luther Rossignol's late challenge caught a Böttstein FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luther Rossignol helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Böttstein FC booed when Delémont EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luther Rossignol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luther Rossignol got his second yellow card in the match during the 70th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Böttstein FC's Lars Berardi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Böttstein FC from getting a goal against them. Lars Berardi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Randy Faber's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute, Ernest Hegner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Böttstein FC's Lars Berardi got control of the ball when Rahman Rüşti tried to sneak it across the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Böttstein FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rahman Rüşti came free, but Lars Berardi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delémont EC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
