Robin Rüegg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niels Schär, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th match minute, Ringgenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Vendembia to maneuver through the defense. If Joaquin Celipe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Chancy booed when Ringgenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivo Kretz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roger Gerig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Celipe, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Robin Rüegg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimir Felber in the 19th minute. Vladimir Felber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Robin Rüegg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ivo Kretz fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ringgenberg's protests and gave Ivo Kretz a yellow card for diving instead. Ivo Kretz hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 25 played minutes, Ringgenberg's Niels Schär shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robin Rüegg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ringgenberg reached it. Daniel Vendembia kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. If Joaquin Celipe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 38 minutes into the match, Lenny Grossenbacher dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Robin Rüegg, 1-0. Joaquin Celipe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Roger Gerig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lenny Grossenbacher made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Vladimir Felber made a precise shot to the right of Robin Rüegg. Chancy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Robin Rüegg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Felber, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Ringgenberg's Ivo Kretz got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Ivo Kretz off the ground. The supporters of Chancy booed when Ringgenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivo Kretz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 minutes, Daniel Vendembia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ringgenberg and the Chancy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 71 played minutes Ringgenberg got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Vendembia. In the 73rd minute Vladimir Felber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Rüegg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robin Rüegg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Felber in the 76th minute of play. Robin Rüegg came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Ringgenberg's Vladimir Felber. But to his dismay, Vladimir Felber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Joaquin Celipe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Roger Gerig made a huge save. 84 minutes into the game, Jago Käuflin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chancy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ringgenberg the free kick. A collision led to Chancy getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Jago Käuflin hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Joaquin Celipe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chancy's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquin Celipe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Gerig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquin Celipe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Gerig having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vladimir Felber in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robin Rüegg saved Chancy from getting behind. When the referee blew the final whistle, Ringgenberg could leave the field as winners, despite Chancy having more of the ball for most of the match.
