The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Alexander Küng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Paolo Heusser from long distance, 4 minutes into the match, got Robin Rüegg's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 11th minute, Joaquin Celipe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oliver Camiscia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Alphonse Durrer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Oliver Camiscia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute Alphonse Durrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Camiscia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pascal Gosselin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Vogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Placidus Marti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrico Clerc in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robin Rüegg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute, Anton Koch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquin Celipe missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 34 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Oliver Camiscia right hand side. 35 minutes into the match, Chancy's Joaquin Celipe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oliver Camiscia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 44thth minute of the game Joaquin Celipe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BUENA ESPERANZA's Oliver Camiscia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jago Käuflin charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jago Käuflin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jago Käuflin kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The throw-in from Peppone Becker in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Chancy's Jago Käuflin. Simon Straumann might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oliver Camiscia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Straumann ran back to his position shaking his head. Enrico Clerc scored 1-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robin Rüegg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Vogel in the 67th minute of play forced Chancy's goalkeeper Robin Rüegg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascal Gosselin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oliver Camiscia came out and tried to block the shot, but Pascal Gosselin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 69th minute. Robin Rüegg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Vogel in the 72nd minute of play. Chancy's Robin Rüegg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniele Kempf in the 74th minute of play. Robin Rüegg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrico Clerc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Pascal Gosselin hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. When Alphonse Durrer came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Chancy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alphonse Durrer couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquin Celipe in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliver Camiscia saved BUENA ESPERANZA from getting behind. In the 88th match minute, BUENA ESPERANZA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peppone Becker to maneuver through the defense. When Simon Straumann came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Chancy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Straumann couldn't finish the play. Robin Rüegg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Kempf in the 97th minute of play. The Chancy players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
