Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eugenio Zarrella started the match with the kick off. Fedor Adler struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Nikolai Stutz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Lugano. Mikel Jerzinger might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nikolai Stutz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikel Jerzinger ran back to his position shaking his head. Nikolai Stutz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Zarrella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikolai Stutz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugenio Zarrella's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Mikel Jerzinger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolai Stutz having to interfere. Bodo Jermann charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bodo Jermann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bodo Jermann kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Godo Gøl made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Leonardo Fries sent off a good shot on target. Nikolai Stutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Zarrella, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Mikel Jerzinger kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Nikolai Stutz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugenio Zarrella's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when Uitikon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timo Rüegsegger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nikolai Stutz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugenio Zarrella's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Eugenio Zarrella notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Uitikon's Nikolai Stutz. Nikolai Stutz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Uitikon players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Lugano were winning 0-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonardo Fries to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Vogt kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Godo Gøl came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Uitikon's Leonardo Fries. But to his dismay, Leonardo Fries quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 61 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Zarrella. Leonardo Fries received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Godo Gøl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nikolai Stutz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugenio Zarrella in the 73rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugenio Zarrella got free with Nikolai Stutz in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Uitikon getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Timo Rüegsegger hit a great ball. Christopher Becker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Lugano supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Lugano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
