Spectators: 10824 (Terracing: 8119, Seating: 2489, VIP seats: 216) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tory Pryor started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Georg Gustavsson came free, but Lionel Paly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, George Oprița hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, Pirmin Jäggi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Flatline Zombies's Armağan Mukremin. Armağan Mukremin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lionel Paly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georg Gustavsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lionel Paly could save by the left post. Lionel Paly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Seco's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Lionel Paly came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Flatline Zombies's Levent Erkinay. But to his dismay, Levent Erkinay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Armağan Mukremin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emery Heller, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Emilio De Luca made a great header on FC Wil 1900's corner, it was just that Flatline Zombies's Armağan Mukremin managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 42 minutes, Téo Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Wil 1900's supporters crossed their fingers, but Téo Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd match minute, FC Wil 1900 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Della Rossa to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Seco was the one to do the kick off. Lionel Paly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georg Gustavsson in the 51st minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Peppone Simmen came free, but Lionel Paly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Della Rossa charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Della Rossa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Axel Della Rossa hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Pirmin Jäggi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Armağan Mukremin made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liborius Müller in the 67th minute of play forced FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Rosa in the 70th minute of play forced Flatline Zombies's goalkeeper Armağan Mukremin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liborius Müller in the 75th minute of play. Liborius Müller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Paly having to interfere. When FC Wil 1900's Téo Rosa in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flatline Zombies's goalie prevented a goal. In the 79th minute, FC Wil 1900's Emery Heller ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armağan Mukremin. Armağan Mukremin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. In the 81st match minute, Flatline Zombies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Gustavsson to maneuver through the defense. Georg Gustavsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lionel Paly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Georg Gustavsson's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. FC Wil 1900's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
