Josef Van Eyken's late challenge caught a FVV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josef Van Eyken helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Eskisehirspor's Josef Van Eyken got a free kick in the 5th minute. Iker Argenis scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raymond Van Gysel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot 16 in the game by Achilles De Middeleer from a close distance when the talented Abejundio Romero managed to make a qualified save. Eskisehirspor's players were relieved. Abejundio Romero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cederik Nilis in the 18th minute. Raymond Van Gysel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gertjan Van Kamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Raymond Van Gysel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Achilles De Middeleer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abejundio Romero came out and tried to block the shot, but Achilles De Middeleer slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 33rd minute. 47 minutes into the match, FVV's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Argenis came free, but Raymond Van Gysel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iker Argenis to strike the kick off in the second half. Ludwig De Kepper scored 1-3 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raymond Van Gysel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Raymond Van Gysel was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Georgi Peev capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Georgi Peev really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Argenis in the 81st minute of play forced FVV's goalkeeper Raymond Van Gysel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eskisehirspor's Abejundio Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolf Maenhout in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Rolf Maenhout notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Eskisehirspor's Abejundio Romero. Abejundio Romero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cederik Nilis in the 94th minute of play forced Eskisehirspor's goalkeeper Abejundio Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
