Vincent Carpenter started the match with the kick off. Roderik Valckeners made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Carpenter in the 3rd minute of play. Ewan Crespy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the game, Pino Hensmans recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lukas Vuerinx. Pino Hensmans showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Pino Hensmans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Lukas Vuerinx when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pino Hensmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Lukas Vuerinx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Jarno Verheijt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Roderik Valckeners was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pino Hensmans in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lukas Vuerinx, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Roderik Valckeners came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by SC Vottem's Vincent Carpenter. But to his dismay, Vincent Carpenter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 44th minute, Pino Hensmans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarno Verheijt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute of the match Michael De Hond sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roderik Valckeners skillfully saved the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pino Hensmans was the one to do the kick off. SC Vottem's Lukas Vuerinx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pino Hensmans in the 51st minute of play. Pino Hensmans might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lukas Vuerinx. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pino Hensmans ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 59 minutes, Pino Hensmans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Politehnica Iasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pino Hensmans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Pino Hensmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lukas Vuerinx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ewan Crespy in the 64th minute of play. When Politehnica Iasi's Pino Hensmans in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Lukas Vuerinx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pino Hensmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute of the match Ief Huts sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lukas Vuerinx skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Vottem's Stephan Biermans got a free kick in the 78th minute. Ewan Crespy took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lukas Vuerinx. SC Vottem's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 80 played minutes SC Vottem got a freekick which was hit by Stephan Biermans. In the 82nd minute, Jarno Verheijt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to SC Vottem getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Remy Heijligem hit a great ball. After 85 played minutes, Politehnica Iasi's Ewan Crespy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lukas Vuerinx came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Politehnica Iasi reached it. 86 minutes into the match, Politehnica Iasi's goalkeeper Roderik Valckeners had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vincent Carpenter. If Vincent Carpenter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Pino Hensmans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Politehnica Iasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Pino Hensmans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lukas Vuerinx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lukas Vuerinx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ewan Crespy in the 93rd minute of the match. When the final whistle went the supporters of SC Vottem were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Politehnica Iasi side.
