Jordi Maenhout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luke Vanden Broucke, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Londerzeel's zone, Robrecht De Cerpel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martial Beeckmans came out of the goal and Robrecht De Cerpel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, DFC United Colors's Brent Van Clijnebreugel got a free kick in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolphe Wuets got free with Martial Beeckmans in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute, Robrecht De Cerpel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brent Van Clijnebreugel charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brent Van Clijnebreugel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th minute, Brent Van Clijnebreugel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A nice corner shot did that Wouter Latomme got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jordi Maenhout quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Luke Vanden Broucke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martial Beeckmans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robrecht De Cerpel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

During the 53rd minute of the match Brent Van Clijnebreugel completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent.
