Antwarep's Constantijn Vrijdag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Loos in the 7th minute of play. After some careless play in the Antwarep defense, Michael Leers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Constantijn Vrijdag. The Antwarep fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Constantijn Vrijdag should have stopped the shot. Antwarep's Constantijn Vrijdag proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Antwarep from getting a goal against them. Constantijn Vrijdag took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Loos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roy Loos in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Constantijn Vrijdag saved Antwarep from getting behind. Constantijn Vrijdag showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Loos, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Constantijn Vrijdag made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Joost Van Looy sent off a good shot on target. If Dimitri Sabbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dimitri Sabbe struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Glen Vissenaekens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Antwarep. In the 47th minute of the match Cederic Kerkhofs shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Constantijn Vrijdag showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 48th minute Roy Loos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantijn Vrijdag saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Roy Loos made the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Antwarep got a freekick which was hit by Wesley Melkval. In the 63rd minute, Michael Leers made a precise shot to the right of Constantijn Vrijdag. Antwarep's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After 73 played minutes, Verrebeke's Matthy Van den Brul shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Constantijn Vrijdag came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Verrebeke reached it. Constantijn Vrijdag took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Leers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Arnold De Block had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Constantijn Vrijdag. Antwarep's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnold De Block was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 92nd minute Michael Leers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantijn Vrijdag saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jilian Cuelens hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
