Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Merbes-le-Ch's Felix Rockloos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Robbrecht Coomanss short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Glen Vissenaekens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wesley Diericx hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Sebastien Van Geestel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Glen Vissenaekens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Robbrecht Coomans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Robbrecht Coomans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnold De Block during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Merbes-le-Ch booed when Verrebeke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnold De Block didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Felix Rockloos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 25 minutes, Felix Rockloos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merbes-le-Ch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Rockloos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Merbes-le-Ch's Oliver Hauwaerts got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Oliver Hauwaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glen Vissenaekens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Rockloos in the 32nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Robbrecht Coomans could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Glen Vissenaekens however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Verrebeke's zone, Sebastien Van Geestel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glen Vissenaekens came out of the goal and Sebastien Van Geestel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Merbes-le-Ch's Felix Rockloos in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Verrebeke's goalie prevented a goal. Felix Rockloos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Glen Vissenaekens when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

In the 52nd match minute, Merbes-le-Ch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Hauwaerts to maneuver through the defense. Sebastien Van Geestel struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Glen Vissenaekens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merbes-le-Ch. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Verrebeke's goalkeeper Glen Vissenaekens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Merbes-le-Ch's Jef De Boel got control of the ball when Joost Van Looy tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Felix Rockloos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliver Hauwaerts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bill Meulemans kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. If Robbrecht Coomans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Oliver Hauwaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merbes-le-Ch's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliver Hauwaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glen Vissenaekens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute, Robbrecht Coomans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Benedict Mesmakers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merbes-le-Ch's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verrebeke the free kick. After a rather tough play, Merbes-le-Ch's Benedict Mesmakers got a free kick in the 80th minute. When Merbes-le-Ch's Felix Rockloos in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Verrebeke's goalie prevented a goal. Felix Rockloos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Glen Vissenaekens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Rockloos in the 90th minute of play. Michael Leers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jef De Boel having to interfere. Robbrecht Coomans might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Glen Vissenaekens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robbrecht Coomans ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Merbes-le-Ch players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
