When Arnoud Uyttebroeck came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Arrakis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnoud Uyttebroeck couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Giovanni Langendonckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bastiaan Sustens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mitch De Roeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Arnoud Uyttebroeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Mitch De Roeck recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bastiaan Sustens. Mitch De Roeck showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 29 played minutes VC Fl got a freekick which was hit by Cedrik Hulsen. After a defensive mix-up in VC Fl's zone, Ferdinand Vaes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bastiaan Sustens came out of the goal and Ferdinand Vaes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnoud Uyttebroeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bastiaan Sustens having to interfere. If Arnoud Uyttebroeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Arnoud Uyttebroeck came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Arrakis fans jumped to their feet. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnoud Uyttebroeck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Arnoud Uyttebroeck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 53rd minute Cedrik Hulsen suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 53 minutes into the game, Mitch De Roeck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arrakis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VC Fl the free kick. After 58 played minutes VC Fl got a freekick which was hit by Ronny Stuycken. Johnny Bossuyt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ferdinand Vaes struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Bastiaan Sustens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arrakis. Tobias Petris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Ief Laureys kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thomas Van de Gaer. That made the score 2-1 in the 74 minute of play. A collision led to VC Fl getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Giovanni Langendonckx hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giovanni Langendonckx during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, VC Fl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni Langendonckx to maneuver through the defense. Tobias Petris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mitch De Roeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinand Vaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Bastiaan Sustens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ief Laureys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Arrakis getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Johnny Bossuyt hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Sander Bruyninckx sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Thomas Van de Gaer threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Sander Bruyninckx this time. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind VC Fl's goalkeeper Bastiaan Sustens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Arrakis players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
