Kaiser's protests and gave Joery Gebuers a yellow card for diving instead. Joery Gebuers kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The supporters of F.C. Kaiser booed when Sporting Lokeren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Naets didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Bjorn Omblets ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomas Clijsters was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bjorn Omblets couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Sporting Lokeren booed when F.C. Kaiser was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niki Scheerens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bjorn Omblets struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Bjorn Omblets managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Lokeren's supporters rose to their feet, but Bjorn Omblets was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Clijsters breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of F.C. Kaiser:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sporting Lokeren:s goal. Bjorn Omblets might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomas Clijsters. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bjorn Omblets ran back to his position shaking his head. If Herman Wellens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaiser was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daevy Inglebert to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Sporting Lokeren could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than F.C. Kaiser throughout the match.
