Kaiser was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daevy Inglebert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bastiaan Sustens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Kaiser. After having played for 27 minutes, Ronny Stuycken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VC Fl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronny Stuycken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. F.C. Kaiser's Tomas Clijsters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Stuycken in the 30th minute of play. After 32 played minutes F.C. Kaiser got a freekick which was hit by Gwen Vaes. 34 minutes into the game, Roland Huijbrechts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VC Fl's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. Kaiser the free kick. 34 minutes into the game, one of VC Fl:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronny Stuycken during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronny Stuycken to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Ronny Stuycken took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Tomas Clijsters to make any attempt to save it. Daevy Inglebert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gwen Vaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. F.C. Kaiser's Tomas Clijsters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Stuycken in the 82nd minute of play. After 83 played minutes VC Fl got a freekick which was hit by Cedrik Hulsen. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Birger Omblets managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Kaiser's supporters rose to their feet, but Birger Omblets was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bastiaan Sustens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niki Scheerens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Bastiaan Sustens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, F.C. Kaiser's Niki Scheerens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bastiaan Sustens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ronny Stuycken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Clijsters having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
