Spectators: 8010 (Terracing: 6009, Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jan-Joost Heirremans started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Jan-Joost Heirremans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacq Van der Roost during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th match minute, FC Voske was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacq Van der Roost to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Lyens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ataol Ayalp having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Joost Heirremans in the 14th minute of play forced Standaard Meerbeek's goalkeeper Ataol Ayalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jens De Messemaeckre might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jens De Messemaeckre ran back to his position shaking his head. Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens De Messemaeckre in the 19th minute of play. After 25 played minutes FC Voske got a freekick which was hit by Werner Postens. In the 26th minute Jens De Messemaeckre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens De Messemaeckre might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jens De Messemaeckre ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 31st minute Jens De Messemaeckre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Joost Heirremans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Standaard Meerbeek booed when FC Voske was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Werner Postens didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd match minute, FC Voske was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Tilemans to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jens De Messemaeckre to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play FC Voske's Jacq Van der Roost was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 52 played minutes FC Voske got a freekick which was hit by Jacq Van der Roost. 53 minutes into the match, Jens De Messemaeckre notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Voske's Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir. Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, FC Voske's Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir got control of the ball when Jens De Messemaeckre tried to sneak it across the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, FC Voske's goal looked a bit too open when Jens De Messemaeckre came free, but Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jan-Joost Heirremans came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the FC Voske fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Joost Heirremans couldn't finish the play. Aaron Van Gertsuyden's late challenge caught a FC Voske's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Van Gertsuyden helped the player get up and apologised. Ataol Ayalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthony Armentier, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. A collision led to Standaard Meerbeek getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Pieter-Jan De Raedemaeker hit a great ball. Jens De Messemaeckre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 77th match minute, FC Voske was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Lyens to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FC Voske getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Emanuel Lyens hit a great ball. Ataol Ayalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Joost Heirremans in the 87th minute of play. Jens De Messemaeckres short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jan-Joost Heirremans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC Voske booed when Standaard Meerbeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve Van Steen didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Standaard Meerbeek were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant FC Voske side.
