Knokke-Heist's Joop Minnen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph De Vreese in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Malempre AFC booed when Knokke-Heist was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Dhondt didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommas Vanden Bossche got free with Gaetan Huijbreghts in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute, Robbin Imbrechts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joop Minnen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 17 minutes into the game, Joseph De Vreese cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Joop Minnen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joop Minnen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph De Vreese, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Benoit Baboeuf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dan Lanphan hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Joseph De Vreese's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joop Minnen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Joop Minnen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joseph De Vreese went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Joop Minnen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph De Vreese, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Joseph De Vreese took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joop Minnen. Joop Minnen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tommas Vanden Bossche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Malempre AFC's Gaetan Huijbreghts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matt Tael in the 52nd minute of play. Robbin Imbrechts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joop Minnen made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Robbin Imbrechts sent off a good shot on target. Joop Minnen was a little too slow when Karel-Jan Robin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 70th minute, Knokke-Heist's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Robbin Imbrechts fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Joop Minnen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph De Vreese, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robbin Imbrechts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Joop Minnen made a huge save. In the 75th minute, Malempre AFC's Joseph De Vreese ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joop Minnen. Joop Minnen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. After a rather tough play, Knokke-Heist's Xavier Rompen got a free kick in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Knokke-Heist's goalkeeper Joop Minnen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robbin Imbrechts. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph De Vreese in the 85th minute of play forced Knokke-Heist's goalkeeper Joop Minnen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joop Minnen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robbin Imbrechts, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Malempre AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
