Nico Van Meerbek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Odin in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Brakkies New Bastards's goal looked a bit too open when Remco Dekker came free, but Nico Van Meerbek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brakkies New Bastards's Nico Van Meerbek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Odin in the 36th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Brakkies New Bastards's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Odin came free, but Nico Van Meerbek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Lira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robben Kints to make the kick off. Ciro Lira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kirk Powderham went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Brakkies New Bastards's Nico Van Meerbek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Brakkies New Bastards from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jullian Van Haeght during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Daniel Reijniers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ciro Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brakkies New Bastards's Nico Van Meerbek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Brakkies New Bastards from getting a goal against them. Cafu van Beek's late challenge caught a Brakkies New Bastards's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cafu van Beek helped the player get up and apologised. Cafu van Beek hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Daniel Reijniers scored 3-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciro Lira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Marcus Odin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 96 played minutes Brakkies New Bastards got a freekick which was hit by Robben Kints. For all the effort they put into the match, the Decathlon Anderlecht players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Brakkies New Bastards.
