Christofere Pacolet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Dobbelaere having to interfere. Harold Meys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kieth Vuerinx in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Flórián Lantos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The racing mechelen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmiro Quinteros in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harold Meys prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jarne Armentier during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes The Olympians got a freekick which was hit by Jarne Armentier. 45 minutes into the match, The Olympians's goal looked a bit too open when Kieth Vuerinx came free, but Harold Meys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christofere Pacolet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Dobbelaere having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christofere Pacolet to strike the kick off in the second half. Joerie Demarrez hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The supporters of racing mechelen booed when The Olympians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolaas Terhorst didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harold Meys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Kindermans, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute.
