LeRoeulx's Teun Verbraecken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermenegildo Castilho in the 19th minute of play. Teun Verbraecken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermenegildo Castilho in the 21st minute of the match. Rik Winnepennincks kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Babacar Sylla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teun Verbraecken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. LeRoeulx's attentive Nicky Serneels managed to snatch the ball when Bastian Vercasteren made a throw-in in the 25th minute of the game. After taking down the ball on Alpina FC's corner Dirk Damman fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Teun Verbraecken quite easily take care of the ball. Alexander Van Hautvinck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Teun Verbraecken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rik Winnepennincks was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind LeRoeulx's goalkeeper Teun Verbraecken, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Hermenegildo Castilho took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Teun Verbraecken to make any attempt to save it. After 57 minutes of play LeRoeulx's Rik Winnepennincks was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Alpina FC booed when LeRoeulx was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rik Winnepennincks didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, LeRoeulx's Teun Verbraecken got control of the ball when Hermenegildo Castilho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alpina FC's Hermenegildo Castilho got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexander Van Hautvinck couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermenegildo Castilho in the 91st minute of play forced LeRoeulx's goalkeeper Teun Verbraecken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
