In the 7th minute of the match Alpina FC got a corner. Rani Boys's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dirk Damman ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Rani Boys's zone, Babacar Sylla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester came out of the goal and Babacar Sylla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bastian Vercasteren hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Brain Neesens took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manu Rosseels. Alpina FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dirk Damman scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dirk Damman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Manu Rosseels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aksel Hope in the 28th minute of the match. The corner ended in Aksel Hope almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Alpina FC's Manu Rosseels did a great save. In the 33rd minute, Dirk Damman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alpina FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Alfons Van Mellaert took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester to make any attempt to save it. Manu Rosseels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diedrik Reiniers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aksel Hope to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Alpina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfons Van Mellaert to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aksel Hope in the 54th minute of play forced Alpina FC's goalkeeper Manu Rosseels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diedrik Reiniers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Manu Rosseels made a huge save. 59 minutes into the match, Rani Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Damman came free, but Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Alpina FC were awarded a corner. Dirk Damman went to the cornerflag to take it. 5-1 became the score in the 66th minute when Dirk Damman elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Dirk Damman scored 6-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirk Damman in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ief Cromefeldt in the 75th minute of play forced Rani Boys's goalkeeper Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dirk Damman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Rani Boys getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Aksel Hope hit a great ball. Alpina FC made a substitution. Diederik van der Eycken replaced Babacar Sylla. In the 87th minute Dirk Damman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dirk Damman went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-1 was the resulting score. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Damman, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Alpina FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
