Edmond Schollens made in the 4th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Martin De Smedt however managed to control. After some careless play in the La Selección defense, Unai Sócrates kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rein Bautmans. The La Selección fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rein Bautmans should have stopped the shot. Rein Bautmans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yuri Portugal went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La Selección! In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Fauna Utd. Yuri Portugal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rein Bautmans. 0-3. After 23 minutes, Unai Sócrates made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. La Selección's Rein Bautmans tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Unai Sócrates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rein Bautmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Unai Sócrates in the 32nd minute of play. Yuri Portugal took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rein Bautmans. Rein Bautmans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 35th minute, Harry Maguire had to leave the field with a concussion. Fauna Utd made a substitution. Teodoro Esquipula replaced Harry Maguire. In the 37th match minute, La Selección was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Wijnants to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the game, Edmond Schollens threw the ball into play from the sideline. Fauna Utd's Yuri Portugal quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Unai Sócrates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Unai Sócrates sped through La Selección's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rein Bautmans. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Unai Sócrates made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Unai Sócrates notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of La Selección's Rein Bautmans. Rein Bautmans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Augustijn Custermans hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Unai Sócrates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rein Bautmans having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Fauna Utd's Yuri Portugal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rein Bautmans. That made the score 0-11 after 63 minutes of play. After 66 played minutes La Selección got a freekick which was hit by Edmond Schollens. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Unai Sócrates took a quick shot and it went in 0-12 without a chance for Rein Bautmans to make any attempt to save it. Unai Sócrates did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-13 to the left of a surprised Rein Bautmans 70 minutes into the match. Rein Bautmans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Unai Sócrates went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-15 was the resulting score. If Unai Sócrates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute Pierrot Baumans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radamel Hendrickx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Unai Sócrates fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Unai Sócrates did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-16 to the left of a surprised Rein Bautmans 92 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, La Selección's goalkeeper Rein Bautmans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Unai Sócrates. Fauna Utd's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
