Rein Bautmans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tim Vranken went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Bryan Creemers took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rein Bautmans. Rein Bautmans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 20 minutes into the game, Thananiti Cheewawipat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Rein Bautmans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Les Bistouquettes Bleues booed when La Selección was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmond Schollens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rein Bautmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Vranken in the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to La Selección getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Edmond Schollens hit a great ball. In the 34th minute of the match Tim Vranken shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rein Bautmans showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute Tim Vranken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rein Bautmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Les Bistouquettes Bleues fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Thananiti Cheewawipat looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thananiti Cheewawipat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rein Bautmans having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-8 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fred Smidts was the one to do the kick off. Rein Bautmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim Vranken in the 52nd minute of play. Willem-Jan Hollanders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Smidts, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 60 minutes, Thananiti Cheewawipat made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. La Selección's Rein Bautmans tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 64thth minute of the game Tim Vranken who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Selección's Rein Bautmans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rein Bautmans came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Rudy Neefs. But to his dismay, Rudy Neefs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. Tim Vranken scored 0-11 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rein Bautmans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute Tim Vranken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rein Bautmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to La Selección getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Leo Wijnants hit a great ball. Thananiti Cheewawipat struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Rein Bautmans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Les Bistouquettes Bleues. Franky Snijers hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the match was over Les Bistouquettes Bleues could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Selección throughout the match.
