With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waut Van Der Meeren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joe Van Landschoot struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Mitch Lauwers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anversa Club. Anversa Club's Waut Van Der Meeren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Anversa Club from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute Winarto Songgonau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitch Lauwers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niclas Ivarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Waut Van Der Meeren acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 26th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Abid Bubalo.
