Portus Ganda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominic Kindt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th minute Qwinten Franckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Vanbuyten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qwinten Franckx in the 8th minute of play forced Portus Ganda's goalkeeper Tony Vanbuyten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Portus Ganda booed when Twierdza Osowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stein de la Croix didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Arnold Vinx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Twierdza Osowiec's Ricardo Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davi Sanches in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute Portus Ganda were awarded a corner. Jüri Djorkaeff went to the cornerflag to take it. Portus Ganda's Jüri Djorkaeff was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ricardo Hendrickx in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ricardo Hendrickx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davi Sanches in the 20th minute of the match. The corner led Portus Ganda's Jüri Djorkaeff to fire away a dangerous shot which Ricardo Hendrickx despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Davi Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tony Vanbuyten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qwinten Franckx in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi Sanches in the 39th minute of play forced Twierdza Osowiec's goalkeeper Ricardo Hendrickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Dominic Kindt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portus Ganda's supporters rose to their feet, but Dominic Kindt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Hendrickx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Hendrickx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jüri Djorkaeff, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Qwinten Franckx was the one to do the kick off. In the 92nd minute Mike Hoeybroeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Hendrickx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Qwinten Franckx came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tony Vanbuyten could save by the left post. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Portus Ganda fully deserved thier win.
