Pedrinho Neymar might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jannes Van Leempoel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrinho Neymar ran back to his position shaking his head. George Wynant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Genk. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A very good chance for a goal. Pedrinho Neymar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Jannes Van Leempoel made a huge save. A collision led to M.O.M. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Bram Boonen hit a great ball. Suat Kaya took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Wynant. George Wynant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. M.O.M.'s 庞川真 managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Segundo Ubendu in the 63 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rain De Hond in the 64th minute of play forced M.O.M.'s goalkeeper George Wynant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bram Boonen made in the 68th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pedrinho Neymar. Rain De Hond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77thth minute of the game Vergil Rupov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but M.O.M.'s George Wynant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in M.O.M.'s zone, Vergil Rupov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Wynant came out of the goal and Vergil Rupov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Rain De Hond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rain De Hond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Genk's goal looked a bit too open when Gökhan Keskin came free, but Jannes Van Leempoel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedrinho Neymar came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jannes Van Leempoel could save by the left post. Pedrinho Neymar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 92 minutes into the match, Genk's goalkeeper Jannes Van Leempoel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedrinho Neymar.
