Silas Sibeko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lungie Mncube in the 20th minute of the match. After 22 played minutes BARKING BEARS got a freekick which was hit by Mpho Nauseb. After a defensive mix-up in BARKING BEARS's zone, Lungie Mncube stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silas Sibeko came out of the goal and Lungie Mncube tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lungie Mncube had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lungie Mncube sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricky Mfeke's late challenge caught a DESTROYERS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The BARKING BEARS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. DESTROYERS FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phillip Mokhasi made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, DESTROYERS FC's Lungie Mncube nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silas Sibeko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. DESTROYERS FC's Lungie Mncube got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of DESTROYERS FC booed when BARKING BEARS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucky Mkhwanazi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mpho Nauseb scored 1-2 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mathibela Nauseb, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lungie Mncube received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Silas Sibeko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Mpho Nauseb notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of DESTROYERS FC's Mathibela Nauseb. Mathibela Nauseb was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
