Marjan Zapyshnyi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Olexandr Schastlyvyi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olexandr Schastlyvyi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vyacheslav Lukyanets in the 5th minute of play. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Marjan Zapyshnyi sped through Solotschiw Stal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olexandr Schastlyvyi. Chervonograd's Marjan Zapyshnyi got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Marjan Zapyshnyi notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Solotschiw Stal's Olexandr Schastlyvyi. Olexandr Schastlyvyi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marjan Zapyshnyi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olexandr Schastlyvyi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orest Maschenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chervonograd's Arsen Plekhtyak pulled a muscle in his back after 26 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Chervonograd's Marko Chygrynskyi was substituted for Arsen Plekhtyak. 30 minutes into the match, Marjan Zapyshnyi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olexandr Schastlyvyi. Solotschiw Stal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marjan Zapyshnyi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Symon Kvasyuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yarema Zadoenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arsen Monashevskyi made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Solotschiw Stal's goal looked a bit too open when Orest Maschenko came free, but Olexandr Schastlyvyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marjan Zapyshnyi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Marjan Zapyshnyi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chervonograd's supporters rose to their feet, but Marjan Zapyshnyi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olexandr Schastlyvyi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Arsen Monashevskyi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Solotschiw Stal's supporters rose to their feet, but Arsen Monashevskyi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Symon Kvasyuk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olexandr Schastlyvyi was a little too slow when Orest Maschenko got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-5. Orest Maschenko struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Olexandr Schastlyvyi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chervonograd. 78 minutes into the game, Chervonograd's Marjan Zapyshnyi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olexandr Schastlyvyi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. If Orest Maschenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Orest Maschenko reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Olexandr Schastlyvyi. The goal made the score 0-7. Marko Chygrynskyi kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Solotschiw Stal's Arsen Monashevskyi got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Solotschiw Stal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Orest Maschenko fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Solotschiw Stal's zone, Marjan Zapyshnyi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olexandr Schastlyvyi came out of the goal and Marjan Zapyshnyi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Chervonograd could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Solotschiw Stal throughout the match.
