Leontin Pască yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Irinel Lupescu scored 2-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felix Pârlea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to BARCELONA getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Marian Novăceanu hit a great ball. After some careless play in the BARCELONA defense, Ilie Cocoș kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leontin Pască. The BARCELONA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leontin Pască should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute Adrian Gheorghe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leontin Pască saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilie Cocoș could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Leontin Pască made a huge save. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian Gheorghe made a kick off. BARCELONA's Leontin Pască played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Gheorghe in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, David Pătrășconiu made a precise shot to the right of Leontin Pască. BARCELONA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Claudiu Ghișe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petrică Staicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 59th minute of the game, Cornel Moțoc landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Pătrășconiu during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 60 played minutes Tata got a freekick which was hit by David Pătrășconiu. After 67 minutes of play, Tata's Adrian Gheorghe made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leontin Pască was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tata's Nae Crișan got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Gheorghe in the 72nd minute of play forced BARCELONA's goalkeeper Leontin Pască to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BARCELONA's Leontin Pască played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Pătrășconiu in the 74th minute of play. Grigore Copil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
