Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cătălin Miheș made the kick off which started today's match. Răzvan Mavrogheni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Valentin Ilarie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bazarghian's zone, Răzvan Mavrogheni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Ilarie came out of the goal and Răzvan Mavrogheni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robert Radovan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Valentin Ilarie made a huge save. Valentin Ilarie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Răzvan Mavrogheni in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Petrică Surdilă notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Sportul Cernelele's Remus Iuzbașa. Remus Iuzbașa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Remus Iuzbașa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Chira in the 16th minute of play. Bazarghian's Petrică Surdilă got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cătălin Miheș in the 25th minute of play forced FC Sportul Cernelele's goalkeeper Remus Iuzbașa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remus Iuzbașa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Miheș in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Bazarghian defense, Răzvan Mavrogheni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Ilarie. The Bazarghian fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Ilarie should have stopped the shot. Bazarghian's Petrică Surdilă got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valentin Ilarie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Radovan in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Mavrogheni in the 44th minute of play forced Bazarghian's goalkeeper Valentin Ilarie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Ilie Nisipeanu made a precise shot to the right of Remus Iuzbașa. FC Sportul Cernelele's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When Răzvan Mavrogheni came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the FC Sportul Cernelele fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Răzvan Mavrogheni couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petrică Surdilă got free with Remus Iuzbașa in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Petrică Surdilă reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Remus Iuzbașa. The goal made the score 1-3. Petrică Surdilă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Cătălin Miheș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petrică Surdilă in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Remus Iuzbașa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, FC Sportul Cernelele's Remus Iuzbașa got control of the ball when Petrică Surdilă tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valentin Ilarie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Sportul Cernelele. The Bazarghian supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bazarghian would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
