In the 4th minute of the match, David Rareș got a very nice opportunity to score, but Blaž Kojaković was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. David Rareș got a throw-in 6 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Nicolae Vulcănescu. Marcu Dumitrache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horaţiu Vuşcan in the 8th minute of the match. Marcu Dumitrache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costel Voicescu in the 9th minute of play. Marcu Dumitrache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costel Voicescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Niculae Ştefulescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Blaž Kojaković when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dumitru Pască's late challenge caught a CR7 Football Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dumitru Pască helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of CR7 Football Academy booed when The Squad™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dumitru Pască didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Squad™'s Marcu Dumitrache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costel Voicescu in the 15th minute of play. Blaž Kojaković made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Niculae Ştefulescu sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st match minute, The Squad™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dumitru Pască to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niculae Ştefulescu in the 25th minute of play forced CR7 Football Academy's goalkeeper Blaž Kojaković to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niculae Ştefulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaž Kojaković having to interfere. CR7 Football Academy's Blaž Kojaković proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save CR7 Football Academy from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute Nicolae Vulcănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaž Kojaković saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Squad™ were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after CR7 Football Academy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alex Micu took the corner. Gică Cigu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niculae Ştefulescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Nicolae Vulcănescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blaž Kojaković. CR7 Football Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicolae Vulcănescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 54 minutes, Sandu Purcărete mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Squad™ and the CR7 Football Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sandu Purcărete kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Niculae Ştefulescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Squad™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Sandu Purcărete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costel Voicescu in the 70th minute of play forced The Squad™'s goalkeeper Marcu Dumitrache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to The Squad™ getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Sandu Purcărete hit a great ball. Marcu Dumitrache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Niculiță in the 81st minute of the match. Niculae Ştefulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Blaž Kojaković tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blaž Kojaković showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niculae Ştefulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 93 minutes into the game, Costel Voicescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CR7 Football Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Squad™ the free kick. Costel Voicescu hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Niculae Ştefulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaž Kojaković having to interfere.
