After a defensive mix-up in FC Rockstadt's zone, Eric Oproiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Vătavu came out of the goal and Eric Oproiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eric Oproiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, DrumLung's Eric Oproiu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Vătavu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Rockstadt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DrumLung the free kick. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Rockstadt! When the match had been going on for 36 minutes, DrumLung's Costică Petre got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Edgar Vătavu. Gavril Hârciog's late challenge caught a FC Rockstadt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavril Hârciog helped the player get up and apologised. If Cristinel Angheloiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Eric Oproiu made the kick off in the second half. Eric Oproiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Ciocoiu in the 66th minute of play forced DrumLung's goalkeeper Ionuț Șora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Rockstadt's zone, Horea Ploieșteanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Vătavu came out of the goal and Horea Ploieșteanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of DrumLung booed when FC Rockstadt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costel Bidulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horea Ploieșteanu in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Vătavu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgar Vătavu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Oproiu in the 85th minute of the match. Edgar Vătavu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Oproiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eric Oproiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Edgar Vătavu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
