SUPER OTELUL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gigi Teodorescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ferdinand Buzincu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugen Chiuzbaian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Pompiliu Maior sped through BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eugen Chiuzbaian. SUPER OTELUL's Cătălin Crăcană proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save SUPER OTELUL from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdinand Buzincu in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugen Chiuzbaian saved BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA- from getting behind. Eugen Chiuzbaian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pompiliu Maior's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Lucian Oanță hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Marcu Flamaropol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cătălin Crăcană was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 40th minute, Pompiliu Maior got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rdth minute of the game Ferdinand Buzincu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s Eugen Chiuzbaian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cătălin Crăcană made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcu Flamaropol in the 44th minute of play. Gigi Teodorescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cătălin Crăcană having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pompiliu Maior made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Cristinel Nițisor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigi Teodorescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcu Flamaropol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cătălin Crăcană having to make a save. A collision led to SUPER OTELUL getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Octav Petre hit a great ball. Ionel Răica took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cătălin Crăcană. SUPER OTELUL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Ferdinand Buzincu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SUPER OTELUL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdinand Buzincu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 67 minutes of play SUPER OTELUL's Lucian Oanță was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After recieving a nice pass, BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s Ionel Răica tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 74 minutes, Ferdinand Buzincu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SUPER OTELUL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdinand Buzincu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s Eugen Chiuzbaian got control of the ball when Ferdinand Buzincu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cătălin Crăcană took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigi Teodorescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 79 played minutes BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA- got a freekick which was hit by Iustinian Mitrofan. Remus Ciocârlan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Ferdinand Buzincu scored to the left of an out of position Eugen Chiuzbaian, making the score, 1-2. Gigi Teodorescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Cătălin Crăcană tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Cristinel Nițisor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SUPER OTELUL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA- the free kick. In the 88th match minute, SUPER OTELUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristinel Nițisor to maneuver through the defense. Gigi Teodorescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Gigi Teodorescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Crăcană saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SUPER OTELUL had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
