Temisoara's Horaţiu Vintilescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Temisoara from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the match, Temisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Mihăiţă Iftode came free, but Horaţiu Vintilescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Cristoloveanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Uncuţă in the 22nd minute of the match. Mihăiţă Iftode received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Horaţiu Vintilescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Cristoloveanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Stancu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horaţiu Vintilescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihăiţă Iftode in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Romeo Uncuţă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to 11 Zanateci getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Toader Mănescu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Temisoara's Vali Buligan got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Horaţiu Vintilescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Corneliu Orghidan in the 43rd minute. 48 minutes into the game, Răzvan Arnăuțescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Temisoara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 11 Zanateci the free kick. 49 minutes into the match, 11 Zanateci's Toader Mănescu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tudor Stancu made a kick off. If Romeo Uncuţă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Romeo Uncuţă got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The long shot by Romeo Calomfirescu in the 64th minute really tested Victor Cristoloveanu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Temisoara's Horaţiu Vintilescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihăiţă Iftode in the 67th minute of play. Romeo Uncuţă's late challenge caught a 11 Zanateci's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romeo Uncuţă helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of 11 Zanateci booed when Temisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Uncuţă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corneliu Orghidan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horaţiu Vintilescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Temisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Mihăiţă Iftode came free, but Horaţiu Vintilescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihăiţă Iftode received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. In the 82nd of the match, Tudor Stancu tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Victor Cristoloveanu got in the way and made a wonderful save. After a rather tough play, 11 Zanateci's Eduard Horodincă got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the game, one of 11 Zanateci:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 86th minute, Temisoara got a penalty, and David Mălin placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corneliu Orghidan in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horaţiu Vintilescu saved Temisoara from getting behind. If Ioan Ogică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Temisoara eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
