FC NIGHT BIRD's Iordache Lazăr got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Narcis Bărbulescu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 8th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Cazimir Hârtopanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narcis Bărbulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Marcel Beraru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcel Beraru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Hârtopanu in the 15th minute of the match. Marcel Beraru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cazimir Hârtopanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narcis Bărbulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dinu Onciu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Hurduci's Gigel Rucăreanu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narcis Bărbulescu couldn't finish the play. If Cazimir Hârtopanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narcis Bărbulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Beraru having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Hurduci's Cazimir Hârtopanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcel Beraru. That made the score 1-0 after 39 minutes of play. Călin Rareș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cazimir Hârtopanu to make the kick off. Dinu Onciu struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Robert Zmeu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC NIGHT BIRD. Hurduci's Cazimir Hârtopanu got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC NIGHT BIRD's Marcel Beraru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cazimir Hârtopanu in the 59th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC NIGHT BIRD's zone, Narcis Bărbulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Beraru came out of the goal and Narcis Bărbulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Narcis Bărbulescu scored 2-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Beraru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Valeriu Brezoi fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC NIGHT BIRD's protests and gave Valeriu Brezoi a yellow card for diving instead. Marcel Beraru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narcis Bărbulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute.
