Spectators: 7486 (Terracing: 5615, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nichifor Ciolac kicked off to start the match. Aurel Sbârcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Buhăescu in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 3rd minute Valeriu Răducanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurel Sbârcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Nichifor Ciolac made a precise shot to the right of Paul Poplăcan. FC Carlsberg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 14th play minutes Mihnea Aldea shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Aurel Sbârcea and just under the crossbar into goal. If Cătălin Timaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paul Poplăcan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horea Ivan's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Paul Poplăcan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Ciolac, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Horea Ivan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paul Poplăcan. FC Carlsberg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horea Ivan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 37th minute Nichifor Ciolac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Poplăcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mihnea Aldea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurențiu Panaitescu took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurel Sbârcea. Aurel Sbârcea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Paul Poplăcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horea Ivan in the 45th minute of play. Nichifor Ciolac might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paul Poplăcan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nichifor Ciolac ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mihnea Aldea made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, FC Carlsberg's goalkeeper Paul Poplăcan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horea Ivan. Aurel Sbârcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurențiu Panaitescu in the 58th minute of play. Mihnea Aldea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Laurențiu Panaitescu came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the FC Carlsberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurențiu Panaitescu couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute Mihnea Aldea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurel Sbârcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Poplăcan made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Horea Ivan sent off a good shot on target. Nichifor Ciolac's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Poplăcan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Nichifor Ciolac ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paul Poplăcan was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. In the 80th minute Nichifor Ciolac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Poplăcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurel Sbârcea came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by FC Carlsberg's Mihnea Aldea. But to his dismay, Mihnea Aldea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. FC Carlsberg's Paul Poplăcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nichifor Ciolac in the 85th minute of play.
