Sever Ghiță ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ştefan Ţurcaş got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Petre Mantu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ştefan Ţurcaş sped through CatusBelicus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Petre Mantu. Neaua's Martin Datcu pulled a muscle in his back after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adam Albescu during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, CatusBelicus's Adam Albescu got a free kick in the 19th minute. Ştefan Ţurcaş hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. CatusBelicus's Petre Mantu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordache Cârstoiu in the 31st minute of play. Petre Mantu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iordache Cârstoiu's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Ţirpescu got free with Petre Mantu in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
