After taking down the ball on Ciocoveni AS's corner Sandu Jienescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vintilă Encica quite easily take care of the ball. Tiberiu Mihăescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Călin Groza having to interfere. If Tiberiu Mihăescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34thth minute of the game Andrei Croitoru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Craiova's Vintilă Encica was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Craiova's Codruț Tudoran got a free kick in the 34th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Sabin Petre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ciocoveni AS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Craiova the free kick. A collision led to Ciocoveni AS getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Sabin Petre hit a great ball. Gelu Mereacre was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. Adrian Platon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Vintilă Encica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiberiu Mihăescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Călin Groza having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Gelu Mereacre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Craiova and the Ciocoveni AS players grew even worse after the yellow card. 71 minutes into the game, one of FC Craiova:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Vintilă Encica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Platon in the 75th minute of the match. FC Craiova's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Adrian Platon scored to the left of an out of position Vintilă Encica, making the score, 0-3. Andrei Croitoru was extremely unlucky when he, in the 86th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 87th minute, Nicu Bratiloveanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, FC Craiova's Vintilă Encica got control of the ball when Andrei Croitoru tried to sneak it across the goal line.
