Anton Encica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucian Zglobiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 23rd minute, Lucian Zglobiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gabriel Saşca fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Universitatea Alexandria's protests and gave Gabriel Saşca a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Corneliu Stănilă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lucian Zglobiu scored 2-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anton Encica, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriel Saşca to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 71stth minute of the game Lucian Zglobiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Universitatea Alexandria's Anton Encica was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pontus Euxin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucian Zglobiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a long run with the ball, Corneliu Stănilă did a trick in the 93rd minute in front of Universitatea Alexandria's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 4-0. An impressive performance by Pontus Euxin's Corneliu Stănilă! Ciprian Bejan kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pontus Euxin fully deserved thier win.
