Spectators: 7425 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 70) Sandu Buculeasa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Iustin Diaconescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Horodincă having to interfere. David Cârstoiu hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Gigi Ştefoi's late challenge caught a Olesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gigi Ştefoi helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes REBCOS got a freekick which was hit by Gigi Ştefoi. In the 13th minute, Traian Ciuhandu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. REBCOS's Sandu Buculeasa got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, REBCOS's Tudor Ciulei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petruț Stănculescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 19 minutes, Tudor Ciulei made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Olesti's Petruț Stănculescu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute Sandu Buculeasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Stănculescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Octav Gherguț managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octav Gherguț was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tudor Ciulei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cătălin Dindelegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Horodincă having to interfere. Olesti's Petruț Stănculescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandu Buculeasa in the 41st minute of play. Traian Ciuhandu charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Traian Ciuhandu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Olesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Traian Ciuhandu to maneuver through the defense. When Cătălin Dindelegan fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olesti's protests and gave Cătălin Dindelegan a yellow card for diving instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Marcel Horodincă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octav Gherguț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Iustin Diaconescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandu Buculeasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Stănculescu having to interfere. Sandu Buculeasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Petruț Stănculescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sandu Buculeasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of REBCOS booed when Olesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iulian Senin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ionică Buceceanu during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Ciulei in the 83rd minute of play forced Olesti's goalkeeper Petruț Stănculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tudor Ciulei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Stănculescu having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Traian Ciuhandu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Olesti players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for REBCOS.
