The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for STEAUA SIGHET! In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Miorica. Octav Cozac stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iurie Neicu. 0-1. After 13 minutes, Marian Isaicu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Miorica and the STEAUA SIGHET players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marian Isaicu hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Maxim Mărăscu hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Sandu Aldescu struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Rareș Elefteriu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for STEAUA SIGHET. When Eliodor Berechet came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Miorica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliodor Berechet couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Miorica booed when STEAUA SIGHET was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Bărcăuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurel Dănășel hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Stelian Onete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Dorel Zoreanu came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Miorica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorel Zoreanu couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute, Eliodor Berechet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Miorica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Miorica's Marian Isaicu pulled a muscle in his back after 47 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, STEAUA SIGHET's Aurel Dănășel got a free kick in the 48th minute.

The wind increased when Sandu Aldescu made the kick off in the second half. When Cosmin Braica fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STEAUA SIGHET's protests and gave Cosmin Braica a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Miorica booed when STEAUA SIGHET was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosmin Braica didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Octav Cozac in the 58th minute really tested Iurie Neicu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 59 minutes into the match, STEAUA SIGHET's goalkeeper Iurie Neicu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliodor Berechet. Sandu Aldescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, Sandu Aldescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th minute, Octav Cozac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miorica's Rareș Elefteriu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandu Aldescu in the 70th minute of play. When Sandu Aldescu came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the STEAUA SIGHET fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandu Aldescu couldn't finish the play. Rareș Elefteriu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandu Aldescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute, Eliodor Berechet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iurie Neicu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When Aristide Pască fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STEAUA SIGHET's protests and gave Aristide Pască a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in STEAUA SIGHET fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! In the 94th minute, Sandu Aldescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iurie Neicu made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Eliodor Berechet sent off a good shot on target. Eliodor Berechet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 101st minute. Iurie Neicu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miorica's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
