Tociloasa UFC's Toader Diculescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Gligan in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, metalul's Lucrețiu Sântimbrean got control of the ball when Gheorghe Nanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th match minute, metalul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codruț Gligan to maneuver through the defense. If Gigel Roman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Ciprian Daimacă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute of the match Tociloasa UFC got a corner. metalul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ion Buciuman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Romeo Olteanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucrețiu Sântimbrean having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Olteanu in the 32nd minute of play forced metalul's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Sântimbrean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Tociloasa UFC's Gheorghe Nanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucrețiu Sântimbrean narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lucrețiu Sântimbrean stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Olteanu's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Toader Diculescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigel Roman, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Gheorghe Nanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tociloasa UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gheorghe Nanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucrețiu Sântimbrean breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucrețiu Sântimbrean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gheorghe Nanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Gheorghe Nanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of metalul booed when Tociloasa UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Olteanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute of the match Cezar Romanescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucrețiu Sântimbrean skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Tociloasa UFC's Toader Diculescu got control of the ball when Gigel Roman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeo Olteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Lucrețiu Sântimbrean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
