Spectators: 7666 (Terracing: 5751, Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tudor Panin started the match with the kick off. When George Mihăescu came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Chisinau CC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Mihăescu couldn't finish the play. If Costică Berbec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ionică Burtea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Jușcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Tudor Panin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Dăianu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, F.C. APULUM's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Jușcă came free, but Ionică Burtea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Costică Berbec had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Dăianu. Chisinau CC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Costică Berbec was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. It was a penalty for Chisinau CC! The goalkeeper, Ivan Dăianu, was totally fooled by F.C. APULUM's Valeriu Jitaru, who 42 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Jușcă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 66th minute, Tudor Panin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of F.C. APULUM booed when Chisinau CC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Jușcă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tudor Panin might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Dăianu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tudor Panin ran back to his position shaking his head. Tudor Panin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costică Berbec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Tudor Panin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Dăianu having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, F.C. APULUM's Tudor Panin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Dăianu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Costică Berbec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that F.C. APULUM were the better team. F.C. APULUM's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
