Spectators: 7435 (Terracing: 5825, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 10) Eugen Lăceanu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 4 minutes, Alin Stoicescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Benfica FC and the Cismanesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. With 12 minutes on the clock, Dacian Răuţă commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 12th match minute, Benfica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dacian Răuţă to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Țepelea in the 13th minute of play forced Benfica FC's goalkeeper Gelu Ciolofan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugen Lăceanu kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. If Eugen Lăceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cristian Dragomiroiu fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cismanesti's protests and gave Cristian Dragomiroiu a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Cismanesti got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Dragomiroiu. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Damian Țepelea made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Lăceanu in the 54th minute of play forced Cismanesti's goalkeeper Sabin Isărescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Damian Țepelea recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gelu Ciolofan. Damian Țepelea showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aron Haidău in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sabin Isărescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Benfica FC's Alin Stoicescu got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute Eugen Lăceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabin Isărescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sabin Isărescu came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Benfica FC's Aron Haidău. But to his dismay, Aron Haidău quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Isac Lepuș charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isac Lepuș the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes Cismanesti got a freekick which was hit by Isac Lepuș. Sabin Isărescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Haidău, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Benfica FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cismanesti had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
