With a left leg Victor Hagi saved FC Stiinta Corabia from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, FC Stiinta Corabia's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Lăzan came free, but Victor Hagi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mugur Lăzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Victor Hagi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chiraftei CS's Narcis Onete proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Chiraftei CS from getting a goal against them. Cornel Casian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Onete having to interfere. Chiraftei CS's Narcis Onete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iulian Brănet in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Mugur Lăzan made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Flavius Iordan took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Victor Hagi to make any attempt to save it. Filip Florescu hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. With a little luck, FC Stiinta Corabia's Victor Hagi got control of the ball when Flavius Iordan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Flavius Iordan came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Victor Hagi could save by the left post. 82 minutes into the game, one of Chiraftei CS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. FC Stiinta Corabia's Cornel Casian got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Iulian Brănet made a precise shot to the right of Narcis Onete. Chiraftei CS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 97 minutes into the game, Flavius Iordan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Victor Hagi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chiraftei CS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
