Spectators: 6759 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute Petruț Dulgherescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avram Braru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iosif Mendrea kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dacian Croitoru in the 8th minute of play forced Sinbenedic's goalkeeper Avram Braru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidiu Aanuţei might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horaţiu Manolache. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ovidiu Aanuţei ran back to his position shaking his head. Horaţiu Manolache made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cătălin Tufescu in the 12th minute. After 13 minutes, Vasile Vătăşel made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sinbenedic's Avram Braru tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Avram Braru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasile Vătăşel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Vieru in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Avram Braru saved Sinbenedic from getting behind. Visina's Iosif Mendrea has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 20th minute. Marcel Vieru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Avram Braru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Avram Braru came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Visina's Marcel Vieru. But to his dismay, Marcel Vieru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Dacian Croitoru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avram Braru having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Visina got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Croitoru. Adam Homescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 39 minutes, Dacian Croitoru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Visina and the Sinbenedic players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sinbenedic booed when Visina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dacian Croitoru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sinbenedic's Avram Braru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Vieru in the 44th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Dragoş Răducu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Petruț Dulgherescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sinbenedic's players were relieved. After having played for 54 minutes, Vasile Vătăşel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Visina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasile Vătăşel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasile Vătăşel couldn't finish the play. Ovidiu Aanuţei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 played minutes Sinbenedic got a freekick which was hit by Ovidiu Aanuţei. Marcel Vierus short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Avram Braru to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
