A collision led to Club Atlético Timișoara getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Alexandru Ciuhandu hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Gigel Ghețea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Atlético Timișoara's attentive Israel Ricoy managed to snatch the ball when Iosif Mendrea made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. Horaţiu Manolache was a little too slow when Alexandru Maia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. Horaţiu Manolache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valer Mândru, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Teodor Feroiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Croitoru in the 22nd minute of the match. Alexandru Maia hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Horaţiu Manolache took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Valer Mândru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Manolache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Valer Mândru, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Horaţiu Manolache was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Visina's goalkeeper Horaţiu Manolache had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godwin Fiott. When Visina's Vasile Vătăşel in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético Timișoara's goalie prevented a goal. After 34 minutes of play, Visina's Marcel Vieru made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodor Feroiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasile Vătăşel in the 38th minute of play forced Club Atlético Timișoara's goalkeeper Teodor Feroiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodor Feroiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Vieru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dacian Croitoru hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandru Maia to make the kick off. With a little luck, Club Atlético Timișoara's Teodor Feroiu got control of the ball when Marcel Vieru tried to sneak it across the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Visina's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Ricoy came free, but Horaţiu Manolache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horaţiu Manolache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godwin Fiott in the 61st minute of the match. Horaţiu Manolache took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vasile Vătăşel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valer Mândru hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 69 played minutes Club Atlético Timișoara got a freekick which was hit by Godwin Fiott. Gigel Ghețea hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Israel Ricoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horaţiu Manolache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Israel Ricoy in the 78th minute of play. Godwin Fiott scored 2-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Horaţiu Manolache, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodor Feroiu came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Visina's Marcel Vieru. But to his dismay, Marcel Vieru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 91 minutes into the game, Visina's Marcel Vieru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodor Feroiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Club Atlético Timișoara lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
