In the 17th minute Sabin Inculeț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Arseni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Aurel Şunda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corobesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurel Şunda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petre Purcărete breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurel Şunda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 24 minutes, Petrică Duțulescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TNL Sector 3 and the Corobesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Petrică Duțulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Leonard Bourceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petre Purcărete made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonard Bourceanu in the 27th minute. Ionică Arseni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valer Ficsinescu in the 29th minute of play. Aurel Şunda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Purcărete having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Valer Ficsinescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TNL Sector 3 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Felix Bulă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petre Purcărete having to make a save. Ionică Arseni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valer Ficsinescu in the 41st minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Corobesti fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave TNL Sector 3 a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Niculae Radu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Corobesti's Ionică Arseni. 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felix Bulă to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Bulă in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petre Purcărete saved TNL Sector 3 from getting behind. 52 minutes into the game, Aurel Şunda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corobesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TNL Sector 3 the free kick. Aurel Şunda kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Corobesti's Leonard Bourceanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petre Purcărete made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in TNL Sector 3's zone, Leonard Bourceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petre Purcărete came out of the goal and Leonard Bourceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute, Felix Bulă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petre Purcărete was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After 65 played minutes Corobesti got a freekick which was hit by Aurel Şunda. 66 minutes into the match, TNL Sector 3's Niculae Radu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ionică Arseni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Felix Bulă might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petre Purcărete. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Bulă ran back to his position shaking his head. Leonard Bourceanu scored 3-2 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petre Purcărete, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leonard Bourceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the game, Felix Bulă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Petre Purcărete was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. TNL Sector 3's Petre Purcărete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Şunda in the 78th minute of play. Felix Bulă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Purcărete having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Corobesti's zone, Sabin Inculeț stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionică Arseni came out of the goal and Sabin Inculeț tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corobesti's Ionică Arseni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Corobesti from getting a goal against them. When the referee ended the match the Corobesti players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
