If Fabian Macarie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Fabian Macarie sped through Academia Sighet's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Codrin Drâmba. Greoni's Iordache Josan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Greoni from getting a goal against them. Fabian Macarie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Codrin Drâmba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28thth minute of the game Fabian Macarie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Sighet's Codrin Drâmba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Academia Sighet's Dragoş Timofte got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Octav Holban sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Codrin Drâmba skillfully saved the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabian Macarie made a kick off. The supporters of Greoni booed when Academia Sighet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Braru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Prezan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Fabian Macarie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the game, Eugen Chilian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Greoni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academia Sighet the free kick. Eugen Chilian kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Academia Sighet's Adrian Braru got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nechifor Zotincă hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After 69 minutes, Francisc Bunescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia Sighet and the Greoni players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th match minute, Academia Sighet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisc Bunescu to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Prezan came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Codrin Drâmba could save by the left post.
