With a couple of smart ball manuevers Călin Hulubei in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Roșeanu saved F.C MirCeA from getting behind. Victor Neguțu charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Neguțu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Daniel Roșeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Onea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the game, POLI TIMISOARA's Călin Hulubei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Roșeanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Călin Hulubei in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Roșeanu saved F.C MirCeA from getting behind. After 11 played minutes F.C MirCeA got a freekick which was hit by Filip Crețulescu. 12 minutes into the match, F.C MirCeA's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Onea came free, but Daniel Roșeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute POLI TIMISOARA were awarded a corner. Horaţiu Blăniță went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Onea in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Roșeanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 21 minutes F.C MirCeA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Horaţiu Blăniță who took care of the corner kick. 24 minutes into the game, one of F.C MirCeA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 30thth minute of the game Edgar Onea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C MirCeA's Daniel Roșeanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute Călin Hulubei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Roșeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Roșeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Onea in the 34th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Neguțu got free with Dinu Săvoiu in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 38 minutes of play, POLI TIMISOARA's Edgar Onea made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Roșeanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Roșeanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Onea went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Călin Hulubei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Daniel Roșeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Victor Neguțu made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Edgar Onea put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Daniel Roșeanu. In the 56th minute, POLI TIMISOARA's Edgar Onea dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. A collision led to POLI TIMISOARA getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Iulian Dorian hit a great ball. Daniel Roșeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zdzislaw Hajder, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The POLI TIMISOARA fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when POLI TIMISOARA's Edgar Onea looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edgar Onea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Roșeanu having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Iulian Dorian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Roșeanu. F.C MirCeA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iulian Dorian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. With a little luck, F.C MirCeA's Daniel Roșeanu got control of the ball when Edgar Onea tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Romeo Bratu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgar Onea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Daniel Roșeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Zdzislaw Hajder reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daniel Roșeanu. The goal made the score 0-10. An unexpectedly hard shot by Călin Hulubei in the 91st minute of play forced F.C MirCeA's goalkeeper Daniel Roșeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in POLI TIMISOARA's zone, Victor Neguțu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dinu Săvoiu came out of the goal and Victor Neguțu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Roșeanu made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Edgar Onea sent off a good shot on target. The F.C MirCeA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. POLI TIMISOARA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
